Big Brothers Big Sisters seeks to change the lives of children facing adversity for the better, forever. Our mentors work with children in the community, in their schools, and many places in between. Our unique brand of one-to-one mentoring has a Big impact in Southern Arizona.

What do we achieve?

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona helps children achieve success in school, helps them avoid risky behaviors such as getting into fights and trying drugs and alcohol, and helps them improve their self-confidence. We hold ourselves accountable to our supporters by regularly measuring our impact.

Whom do we serve?

We seek to change the lives of children by sparking the potential of youth. Initial enrollment age is 6 to 14, and children can stay in the program to age 21. Our network of volunteers, donors and supporters come from all walks of life and all backgrounds.

What do we do?

Our unique brand of one-to-one mentoring, in which a child is carefully matched with a caring adult mentor in a relationship supported by professional Big Brothers Big Sisters staff, changes lives for the better forever.

Community-Based

Community-Based Bigs (Big Brothers, Big Sisters or Big Couples) meet one-to-one with their Little, a minimum of 2-3 times a month for 2-3 hours at a time. Bigs and Littles determine when to meet and what they do each time they get together.

Mentor2.0

Mentor2.0 is an amazing one-to-one High School based mentoring program to help guide Southern Arizona’s youth to graduation and a successful career. With a time commitment of only 2 hours in-person and 2 hours online each month(during the academic school year), mentor2.0 is perfect for the busy professional.
