SAFFORD HIGH SCHOOL BIGS PROGRAM

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

This one-to-one mentoring program focuses on building relationships between students ("Mentors") at Safford High & Pima High School and elementary school students ("Mentees") at Lafe Nelson and Pima Elementary School.

As role models, high school student Mentors can find their own voices as community advocates and philanthropists. Mentors will also receive once a month leadership trainings with their teachers. During bi-weekly sessions, they guide elementary school Mentees through activities that support academic achievement, emotional and social skills, and self-awareness.

These Mentees look up to high school students and enjoy spending time with them!
